So true about the ‘networking site manners’. I’ve seen some people go right into trying to sell stuff – quite shameful and obviously so. In my networking groups, I try to mention things about my current business strictly in passing or in an occasional status update, but not even all that frequently. Enough so that people are reminded what I do for work should they have a neeed, but they’ll also remember that I was not beating them over the head with it.

I don’t know how you find the time to do so much online posting with everything else you do – my resolution for 2009 is to make more happen in this area (thus why I’m trolling your blog for inspiration! . I’d like to get my blog posts rolling, accumulate a little content and then let that be a reference link off of my networking site home pages and also my company website.
